Some of us love to travel but we cannot afford five-star luxury hotels. We need to find hotels that are within our budget, but they aren’t always in the safest areas of the city we wish to visit. Finding an affordable hotel that’s safe can be difficult, but it can be done.

Elios Hotel
This hotel is in the Downtown District of HCMC, near the Fine Arts Museum. There is a car park which will allow you to get to some of the other sites without having to walk as far. The closest sites are the Opera House, Independence Palace and the Ben Thanh Market.
The hotel offers quite a few amenities for a budget hotel. For dining you have a choice of a buffet restaurant and a café. There are laundry facilities and wi-fi is available in the rooms rather than in just the public areas. You can also be pampered in the spa/wellness center or enjoy time in the Jacuzzi.

Gk Central Hotel
If you wish to be even closer to some of the well-known sites, this hotel is for you. It is adjacent to the Ho Chi Minh City Museum and within walking distance of the Ben Thanh Market, one of the largest in the city. For those who don’t mind a longer walk, the Notre Dame Cathedral of Hi Chi Minh City is less than a kilometer away.
The hotel has wi-fi and a business center so those there on business have a place to work. Breakfast is available served in your room and there is a restaurant. Families traveling with children will be pleased to know there is a children’s menu available. Laundry facilities are also available.

Duc Vuong Hotel
While the hotel isn’t as close to most tourist sites, they are only a short drive away. It is also within walking distance of a main bus stop that can take you wherever you wish to go. It is relatively near the Tao Dan Sports Center District 1 Park for those interested in venues of that type.
The hotel offers a restaurant and free breakfast. This is a nonsmoking property for those who have problems with second hand smoke. Like the Gk Central Hotel, it has a business center for those who are on a working trip and it has wi-fi in public areas.

Yen Nam Hotel Ho Chi Minh City
This hotel is the furthest away from tourist sites, although they are still only a short drive away. Both the War Remnants Museum and the Emperor Jade Pagoda are fairly close. The Museum of Vietnamese History is also close.
The venue offers paid parking and laundry facilities. It does not have a restaurant or offer breakfast. Like the Duk Vuong Hotel, it is nonsmoking. Wi-fi is available in public areas and there is an electric kettle in your room.
