In our first year, TravelPony grew to over one million members. Instead of paying for marketing like the industry’s giants (eg. Expedia, Priceline, etc.), we used our advertising budget to offer our members exclusive hotel discounts - then we ask our members to help us grow by telling their friends on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn the special deals that we give them.
Our vision is to leave no stone unturned in finding the absolute best price for a hotel room.
So we are taking things to another level.
First, our members tell us that they want to do more of their shopping for hotels on TravelPony. So we are broadening our choices considerably.
We’ve grown our offering of 20,000 hotels to over 200,000 - which is pretty much every hotel in the world today.
Second, our members will be able to compare prices and book hotels all of the top travel sites. We don’t care where the best deal is - we just want to find every type of deal conceivable so our members can save the most money possible.
Last, but not least, we want to make sure that we reveal the best possible deal on a hotel room for our members.
PriceReview will do for hotel deals what TripAdvisor did for assessing hotel quality.
If there is a coupon that provides a better deal on a hotel...a special advance purchase rate...a mobile same-day price...or even a deal a member found through calling the hotel directly...our members will find it.
Because the only way to know for certain that you are getting the best deal possible on a hotel is if millions of people can’t find a better one.
